A Street-Inspired Tribute to a Caracas Sneaker Classic
Carrito is a personal project based on an original reinterpretation of the Air Jordan Retro 4, a sneaker that became widely known in 1990s Caracas by the nickname Las Carrito. Inspired by that cultural reference, the piece transforms the shoe into a Hot Wheels-style toy car, merging sneaker iconography with playful automotive design. The project connects fashion, nostalgia, and urban identity through a concept rooted in Caracas street culture, turning a classic silhouette into an object that feels both familiar and reimagined.
